Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to educate and assist customers in a professional manner. This role involves engaging with diverse clientele, providing product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly valued to serve our multilingual customer base effectively. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their needs
- Educate customers on product offerings, effects, and proper usage in compliance with regulations
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Manage inventory levels through filing, stock replenishment, and record keeping
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication skills
- Assist with basic computer operation tasks using Microsoft Office tools like Excel for record keeping
- Support team leadership in maintaining store standards and operational procedures
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including COVID-19 guidelines if applicable
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service environments
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, and basic math for transactions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for merchandising and filing tasks
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining compliance with industry regulations
- Bilingual capabilities (English/French) preferred to serve diverse clientele
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience with cannabis or related products is advantageous but not mandatory
