Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Appliance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of household appliances. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and enjoys working directly with customers. This role involves independent service calls while remaining connected to a supportive, professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Disassemble and reassemble appliances for repairs or part replacement
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnoses, repair options, and timelines
- Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and hours worked
- Stay up to date with new appliance technologies, repair techniques, and safety standards
- Follow company policies and safety procedures at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as an appliance repair technician or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in household appliances
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are an asset)
