Job Summary
We’re hiring an enthusiastic Barista who loves coffee, bubble tea, and quick service! You’ll handle everything from crafting perfect espresso drinks to whipping up bubble teas, iced teas, açai bowls, and preparing chicken patties, beef patties, and similar grab-and-go items. This role requires someone who shines in a fast-paced setting, has a bubbly and positive vibe, communicates confidently with customers, and is comfortable working solo during quieter shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, etc.), drip coffee, iced teas, and bubble tea (boba) with accurate topping and sweetness levels.
- Operate and maintain an espresso machine, blenders, and other café equipment efficiently.
- Prepare fresh açai bowls with toppings, as well as chicken patties, beef patties, and other quick food items according to recipes and food safety standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, make recommendations, and provide friendly, engaging service to build repeat business.
- Handle cash, debit/credit payments, and POS system transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
- Work comfortably alone during slower periods while staying productive and vigilant.
- Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment without losing your positive energy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar fast-service café role (coffee shop, bubble tea shop, or quick-serve café preferred).
- Solid knowledge of espresso machine operation and coffee/tea preparation techniques.
- Experience making bubble tea, iced teas, açai bowls, and/or similar food items is a big plus.
- Outgoing, bubbly personality with excellent communication skills and a genuine love for interacting with customers.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a busy setting.
- Comfortable working independently when needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods.
- Food handler certification (or willing to obtain one) is an asset.
