Job description
Specific Skills
- Works on-call to cover staff absence and/or works to provide extra classroom support.
- Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting
- Help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of classroom teacher
- Assist students with special needs
- Monitor and report student progress to classroom teacher
- Accompany and supervise students during activities in school gymnasium and other areas
- Supports students with emotional and sensory regulation
- Monitor students during recess and lunch hour
- Assist teacher in the operation of classroom equipment
- Helping children with toileting and personal care routines

Note: This position would be a great opportunity for someone considering a career in education, psychology or health sciences (i.e. speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, or physiotherapy)
Pay: $19.00 per hour
