Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our team and contribute to various building projects. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople in the completion of construction tasks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not mandatory, as training will be provided. This position offers opportunities for skill development across multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the use of hand tools and power tools for various construction activities
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and finishing work
- Perform demolition, restoration, and renovation tasks as needed
- Apply caulking, painting, and other finishing techniques to ensure quality standards
- Support construction operations by preparing materials and assisting tradespeople
- Prep flooring and lay tiles according to project specifications
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Load, unload, and organize materials on-site for efficient workflow
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, plumbing, welding, or flooring installation is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques is advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different construction tasks
- Prior experience with restoration or construction painting is beneficial
This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to build a career in the construction industry while gaining hands-on experience across multiple disciplines. Valid class 5 and transportation required.
Pay: $17.25-$18.50 per hour
