Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Server to join our dynamic team for our busy spring/ summer season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences by ensuring that our customers receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service.
Duties
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and processing of payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Provide recommendations on menu items based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all guests are attended to promptly during busy service periods.
- Provide basic bartending services when needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in busy restaurant setting
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards is advantageous.
- Bartending experience an asset
- Using Square POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
- A friendly demeanor with strong communication skills to engage with guests positively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
