Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Tandoor Chef to deliver an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong tandoor skills, extensive food industry knowledge. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing tandoori inventory and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. The Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence and fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health codes
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimize waste
- Train new staff on food safety, cooking techniques, and customer service standards
- Ensure timely serving of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Lead by example in providing excellent hospitality and service to guests
Qualifications
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Experience in menu development and culinary innovation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Previous restaurant or hospitality industry experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to oversee kitchen operations from start to finish with professionalism and attention to detail
