Seriously Green Farms is a year-round indoor aquaponic microgreen farm, dedicated to sustainability and delivering high-quality produce to the Niagara region.
We are currently seeking a driven and hard-working Assistant Grower who shares our passion for indoor agriculture and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Passion for sustainability and urban farming
- Understanding of horticulture/agriculture (an asset)
- Valid G license
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast paced job to meet performance indicators
- Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail
- Ability to develop, implement, and manage new processes
Job Description:
- Part-time position
- 5-10 hours per week
- Hourly rate: $18
- Flexible start and end dates, as well as work schedule
- Work days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
Responsibilities include:
- Harvesting and packing microgreens and edible flowers
- Sowing a variety of microgreens
- Watering crops
- Tray cleaning and composting
- Maintenance of aquaponic systems
- Assisting in building farm expansion projects
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience with indoor sustainable aquaponics systems and small farm management.
