Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle food safely and responsibly, following all health regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
