Overview
The NDT Technician will perform inspections using Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) methods in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and customer requirements. The role will support production, quality assurance, engineering, and customer-driven inspection needs.
Duties
· Perform LPI and UT inspections on components, welds, repairs, and coated surfaces.
· Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with approved procedures and acceptance criteria.
· Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports.
· Maintain inspection records and support traceability requirements.
· Work with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to identify and communicate non-conformances.
· Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
· Follow all safety, quality, and procedural requirements.
· Support continuous improvement in inspection processes and documentation.
Qualifications
- · ASNT Level II certification in Liquid Penetrant Inspection — LPI / PT.
· ASNT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing — UT.
· Experience with dimensional inspection, visual inspection, MPI, or other NDT methods.
· Ability to read and interpret drawings, inspection procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
· Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
· Good communication skills and ability to work with production and quality teams.
· Commitment to safe work practices.
·Preferred Qualifications
· Experience inspecting welded or repaired components.
· Experience performing NDT inspections in a manufacturing, welding, machining, oilfield, pressure equipment, or industrial repair environment.
· Knowledge of quality systems, inspection reporting, and non-conformance documentation.
· CWB, CGSB, or additional NDT certifications are considered assets.
