Job Description:
- Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, collaborating closely with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collections.
- Analyze accounts receivable data and generate aging reports, providing actionable insights to support strategic financial decision-making and enhance cash flow.
- Continuously evaluate and streamline accounts receivable processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding monthly statements, payment reminders, and overdue amounts while maintaining strong, professional relationships.
- Address and resolve any issues identified during customer interactions to facilitate the prompt collection of outstanding payments.
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly accounts receivable aging reports to management, highlighting key trends and risks.
- Manage month-end close activities related to accounts receivable, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.
- Assist with period-end close activities, including financial analysis, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Perform tax analysis and manage remittances for sales tax and other relevant taxes.
- Support cash flow forecasting and budgeting processes, providing insights and projections to aid financial planning.
- Manage customer contracts, ensuring proper documentation and all terms, invoicing details, and payment schedules are accurately recorded.
- Contribute to financial analysis and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
Education & Experience & Key skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or finance.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes (invoicing, collections, aging analysis).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Mandarin is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to improvements.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and work collaboratively with teams.
