About the Role
The HR Coordinator, reporting to the Director, Human Resources, will join a team of HR professionals who are dedicated to supporting the business to enable growth while building on our values-based culture. With a strong focus on recruitment and talent coordination, this role partners closely with hiring managers to attract, engage, and onboard top talent while ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant, and well-executed. You’ll be involved in a wide range of HR activities, from welcoming new hires and supporting HR leaders, to creating insights that help shape better people decisions; all while growing your skills in a team‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles across the organization.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and timelines.
- Draft and post job advertisements across multiple platforms.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate outreach and pre-screens.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Support hiring managers throughout the selection process, including interview guides and feedback collection.
- Prepare and extend employment offers and coordinate pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain an active pipeline of candidates for ongoing and future hiring needs.
- Represent Buttcon at college and university career fairs, as well as other relevant networking events, to attract top talent.
- Ensure recruitment practices are fully aligned with Buttcon’s DEI objectives by developing and executing strategies that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion at every stage of the hiring process.
- Coordinate orientation sessions for new employees, providing them with necessary information about company policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Prepare new employee orientation packages.
- Assist in setting up employee profiles in the HRIS database.
- Conduct the HR orientation and office tour/introduction for new hires.
- Policy and Program updates including updating the internal Sharepoint page.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
- Assist the HR team with Strategic Plan initiatives.
- Write and distribute policies, procedures, memos and other HR communications across all levels of the organization.
- Assist the T&D and Learning and Talent team with internal training programs.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of internal communication materials (e.g., newsletters, employee announcements) to keep employees informed and engaged with company events, initiatives, and news.
- Help organize and promote employee recognition programs, supporting efforts to highlight employee achievements and foster a culture of appreciation.
- Collaborate with the HR and Marketing teams, on strategies to keep employees engaged, i.e. The Bridge, social events, and other team-building initiatives.

Qualification Requirements
- College or University Degree in HR or Certificate in Human Resources Management.
- Knowledge of current and relevant HR legislation.
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in Human Resources.
- CHRP designation or actively working towards the designation is preferred.
- Experience in employee engagement and relationship building.
- Strong interest in DEI and employee wellness initiatives.
- Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Primary work location in the Head Office
- Travel to construction sites, when required.

This posting is for a new position within our organization.
The hiring range for this role is $58,000 - $63,000. The final compensation offered will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
