ARIS Martial Arts is a brand-new martial arts academy opening soon in Aurora, Ontario. As we prepare for our grand opening, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Taekwondo Master to join our founding team.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Taekwondo Master (minimum Kukkiwon 4th Dan) to serve as our Lead Instructor / Head Instructor.
The successful candidate will lead classes for children, teens, and adults while helping establish the instructional standards and culture of our academy from day one.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging Taekwondo classes for students of all ages and belt levels
- Teach poomsae, sparring, self-defense, breaking techniques, and conditioning
- Maintain instruction consistent with Kukkiwon standards
- Assist in developing curriculum and student progression
- Conduct belt testing and student evaluations
- Create a disciplined, positive, and motivating training environment
- Mentor assistant instructors and future leadership staff
- Build strong relationships with students and families
- Participate in demonstrations, special events, camps, and community outreach
- Work closely with academy ownership to support long-term growth
Qualifications
- Minimum Kukkiwon 4th Dan Black Belt (required)
- Several years of teaching experience in a professional Taekwondo school
- Strong leadership and classroom management skills
- Experience teaching children is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to independently manage structured group classes
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Schedule
- Approximately 20–35 hours per week
- Primarily weekday evenings
- Saturday classes
- Additional hours may be available for camps, special events, and private lessons
