Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and hospitality, with a focus on delivering a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and ensuring guest satisfaction through excellent customer service and food safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus promptly
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables while providing attentive guest service
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, tables, and service stations throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Familiarity with food industry standards including serving, food safety, and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with flexible availability for shifts including evenings and weekends if necessary
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus but not required
