Beginning August 26, 2026 through January 29, 2027, this position focuses on Math 30 instruction in a welcoming and supportive rural school community. Specific Position Duties
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Training and/or experience teaching Alberta Mathematics 30, including supporting student success in diploma exam preparation
- The ability to use assessment and student learning data to inform instruction and support diverse learning needs
- A commitment to creating an engaging, student-centred mathematics classroom culture that promotes confidence, perseverance, and achievement
Qualifications and General Duties
The successful candidate will possess:
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- A student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
- Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices
- Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning
- The ability to foster positive relationships and create a strong sense of belonging for students
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- A demonstrated commitment to professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
- A willingness to contribute to extracurricular opportunities and the broader school community would be considered an asset
