About Sacred Circles Youth Services
Sacred Circles Youth Services is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing home for children with complex developmental and behavioural needs. Our goal is to create a stable, relationship-focused environment where every child feels valued, understood, and supported.
We believe that meaningful relationships are at the heart of exceptional care. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children.
About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in a children's group home with children under the age of 10.
The children in our care have complex support needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Global Developmental Delay. Many of the children experience emotional and behavioural dysregulation and require patient, consistent, and relationship-focused support.
This is a hands-on role that requires staff to actively engage with the children throughout their shift. Successful candidates enjoy playing, building relationships, teaching life skills, and supporting children through both everyday routines and challenging moments.

- Support children with daily routines, personal care, meals, and community outings.
- Engage children in play, recreation, and age-appropriate activities.
- Use trauma-informed and relationship-based approaches to support children.
- Recognize early signs of dysregulation and implement appropriate de-escalation strategies.
- Maintain calm, consistent, and professional behaviour during behavioural escalations.
- Set clear, respectful, and consistent boundaries with the children.
- Support children in developing emotional regulation and coping skills.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Complete daily documentation, communication logs, and incident reports.
- Follow behaviour support plans, safety plans, and organizational policies.
