We are seeking an experienced Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial multi-head embroidery machines, maintaining production quality, and meeting daily output goals in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate commercial multi-head embroidery machines (Tajima, Barudan, SWF, Brother, or similar)
- Set up embroidery jobs, including hooping, backing selection, thread changes, and machine preparation
- Read and follow production work orders accurately
- Load and manage embroidery files according to production specifications
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot thread breaks, needle issues, registration problems, and production errors
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout production runs
- Trim garments and remove backing as required
- Maintain thread inventory and embroidery supplies
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining exceptional embroidery quality
- Assist with packing, folding, and preparing completed orders for shipping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of commercial embroidery experience
- Experience operating multi-head embroidery equipment
- Strong understanding of hooping techniques, stabilizers, thread types, and embroidery production workflows
- Ability to identify and resolve common embroidery issues independently
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tajima embroidery machines
- Experience working with corporate apparel, golf apparel, hats, jackets, and specialty products
- Basic understanding of embroidery digitizing and file formats
- Experience with cap embroidery and specialty hooping systems
- Knowledge of embroidery machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience in a high-volume production environment
