Position Overview
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Full/Part-Time Member to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, handling sales transactions, supporting food service operations, and contributing to the day-to-day success of the store.
The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and organized store, assist with inventory and grocery purchasing, and support basic food preparation when required. Training will be provided where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional, and efficient service.
- Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system and handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Recommend products and promote current specials to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Answer customer inquiries in person and over the phone.
- Keep shelves, displays, refrigerators, and work areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Restock merchandise and assist with inventory counts and organization.
- Support basic food preparation and kitchen duties while following food safety standards.
- Purchase groceries and other store supplies as required using company-approved procedures.
- Safely transport purchased groceries and supplies to the store and assist with unloading and stocking.
- Follow all company policies, operational procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members while also being able to work independently.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable handling cash, POS systems, and basic math.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Able to lift and carry products and supplies as required.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Ability to legally work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail, convenience store, or customer service experience.
- ProServe Certification is an asset.
- Food Handling Certification is an asset. Candidates who do not currently hold a Food Handling Certificate are welcome to apply.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages is an asset.
