Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and plant utilities to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and plant utilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Maintain and repair utility room equipment, including chillers, dryers, air compressors, cooling towers, pumps, and material handling systems.
- Monitor and maintain hydraulic systems, hydraulic power units, valves, hoses, cylinders, and pumps.
- Troubleshoot process cooling systems and ensure proper operation of chillers and temperature control units.
- Maintain resin dryers, loaders, conveying systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
- Assist with machine installations, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Identify potential equipment issues before failures occur and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and utility room.
- Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintenance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience working with chillers, dryers, air compressors, cooling systems, pumps, and utility room equipment.
- Experience with injection molding and/or blow molding equipment is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Requirements
- Physically capable of lifting equipment and maintenance components when required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid Work Permit holder).

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
