Are you an EMR or experienced aquatics instructor who geeks out about first aid and loves teaching? We’re looking for a First Aid & CPR Instructor to join our team delivering Canadian Red Cross basic First Aid & CPR courses, both in our Nanaimo training centre and at client sites.
We are specifically looking for candidates with Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), OFA level 3 or aquatics, or significant recent first aid experience. If you do not have this type of background, this role is unlikely to be a fit.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), First Responder, or higher pre‑hospital care training; or
- Significant aquatics background (e.g., lifeguard, water safety instructor) with current or recent certification; or
- Significant recent first aid experience (for example, working in a role where you regularly provide first aid, support emergency response, or teach safety‑related content).
- Comfortable teaching groups and giving clear demonstrations.
- Must have avalibility on weekends
