Overview
Carnarvon Jug City and LCBO Convenience Outlet is looking for part-time Retail Associates to join the team. Must be available to work weekday evenings and weekends.
This role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a dynamic role that requires multi-tasking with the ability to work independently. You will be asked to greet our customers as they enter the store and maintain a friendly and professional manner. You will also be tasked with cash duties and stocking duties for the store. Other tasks include assisting in store maintenance and creating merchandise displays.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers as they enter the store
- Scan barcodes and complete price checks
- Manage the cash register and lottery center activities
- Learn about our products and provide accurate information to our customers
- Ensure shelves are continuously stocked and replenish supplies as needed
- Help maintain the store - sweep, mop, and clean regularly
- Verify stock is rotated and fresh
- Arrange merchandise and keep shelves clean and filled
- Order merchandise that is running low
- Pack and unpack merchandise received or sold in the store
Requirements
- Ideally previous experience in a retail environment
- Exceptional communication skills, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic
- Strong understanding of the retail sales process
- Physical ability to remain standing for the majority of an eight-hour shift
- Physical ability to lift and move at least 50lbs
- Flexibility to work various hours – we are open on weekends and holidays
- All LCBO employees must be 18 years or older
- Basic math skills
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
