Job Description:
Reporting to the Underwriting Supervisor, the Underwriting Assistant will be joining Wynward’s London office to support their fellow Underwriters across the region. The successful candidate must be customer service focused, able to establish and maintain positive working relationships, have high attention to detail, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely and develop strong relationships with the underwriters for data processing and assembling of new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations of insurance policies.
- Actively engage across multiple company departments (Claims, Loss Prevention, Finance, etc.) on matters affecting or related to assigned accounts.
- Assist and support fellow UA team members to maintain service standards and achieve targets.
- Enter quotes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage and prepare account documentation.
- Provide administrative support and other related services as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Completion of grade 12 education
- A minimum of 1 year office experience is an asset
- Willing to take initiative and eager to learn
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Familiar with Windows and Microsoft 365 software
- Excellent time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the Insurance industry is an asset
- Bilingual in French and English
