Kenmac Energy Group is looking for an experienced Credit Manager to lead our credit and collections function across all business units and office locations. If you're a hands-on credit professional who enjoys balancing risk management with strong customer relationships, we want to hear from you.
As our Credit Manager, you'll set the credit strategy for the group — from establishing customer credit terms and reviewing credit applications, to managing accounts receivable and minimizing bad debt exposure. You'll be the go-to credit and collections resource for office managers and Customer Service Representatives at each location, helping keep policies and practices consistent company-wide.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures aligned with company objectives and industry best practices
- Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers using credit applications, financial statements, and credit bureau reports
- Establish and review credit limits and payment terms for commercial, industrial, and residential accounts
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and drive timely collection of past-due accounts
- Manage collections escalation, including payment plan negotiations, collection notices, and coordination with legal counsel or collection agencies
- Set up customer payment plans (budgets, pre-authorized payments) and equipment financing agreements
- Identify at-risk accounts early to minimize bad debt exposure
- Partner with Sales and Customer Service to balance credit risk with customer relationships
- Prepare AR aging and collections performance reports for senior management
- Manage credit holds/releases with order processing and dispatch to prevent service disruptions
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to customer billing and account inquiries directly and professionally
- Provide training and guidance to office managers and CSRs across all Kenmac locations on credit policies, systems, and best practices
- Support month-end/year-end close for AR, bad debt provisions, and write-offs
- Assist with audits by providing relevant documentation and analysis
