Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, particularly within a dental setting. This position requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.
Duties
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and handling inquiries.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for dental or medical services.
- Process patient information and maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Assist with billing and insurance verification processes.
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming and professional for patients and visitors.
- Collaborate with dental or medical staff to streamline office procedures and enhance patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk or receptionist role, preferably within a dental or medical office setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve office goals.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
