Position: Pharmacy Assistant (Full-Time/Part-Time)
Maplecures Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at our Orléans location. The ideal candidate will have previous retail pharmacy experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide outstanding service to patients in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience working in a retail/community pharmacy setting is required
- Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management System is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy workflow and prescription processing
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a pharmacy team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bilingual in English and French is preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations
- Receive and process prescription orders accurately
- Enter patient information and prescription data into the pharmacy system
- Prepare and package prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Assist with prescription pickup and provide friendly customer service
- Handle patient inquiries and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist
- Manage third-party insurance billing and resolve basic claim issues
- Maintain patient profiles and update records as required
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and pharmacy supplies
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with pharmacy standards
- Support the pharmacy team in providing efficient and compassionate patient care
