Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing tire repairs, replacements, and related maintenance tasks to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with automotive repair, and excellent customer service skills. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is a plus, along with familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance procedures. Duties
- Remove and replace tires using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper tread depth
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment assistance as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance on tires and related components
- Assist customers with tire-related questions and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used
- Support the team in vehicle inspections and basic mechanical repairs when required
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all procedures
Experience
- Prior dealership or automotive mechanic experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and tire maintenance techniques
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Strong understanding of automotive safety standards and procedures
- Customer service experience is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of sales processes related to automotive parts or services is a plus
