Sun Peaks Spa is looking for a passionate, professional, and motivated Spa Therapist to join our team. Located in the beautiful mountain resort community of Sun Peaks, we are a boutique spa offering massage therapy, facials, body treatments, and wellness services.
We are looking for a client-focused wellness professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer care and creating memorable guest experiences.
Position Details
Job Type: Part-time / Flexible hours
Hours: Approximately 5–6 hours per day
Pay: Rate of pay based on experience and qualifications
Location: Sun Peaks, BC
The successful candidate must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and during busy resort periods.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional deep tissue massage and relaxation massage treatments
- Provide a variety of spa body treatments, including exfoliations and body wraps
- Perform dry bar treatments and other dry-room services
- Work confidently in a double treatment room and perform treatments alongside another therapist
- Provide exceptional customer care and create a welcoming, relaxing, and personalized experience for every guest
- Conduct client consultations and adapt treatments to meet individual client needs
- Recommend appropriate home-care products and additional services
- Contribute to retail sales and support the overall success of the spa
- Maintain clean, organized, and hygienic treatment rooms
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Assist with reception and other spa duties when required
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant certification, licensing, or professional training for the treatments being performed
- Experience performing deep tissue massage and relaxation massage
- Experience with spa body treatments
- Experience performing dry bar treatments is required
- Facial experience is considered an asset
- Resort or hotel spa experience is an asset
- Knowledge of Eminence Organic Skin Care products is an advantage
- BeautySafe certification is an asset
- Strong customer service and client care skills
- Sales experience or a sales-driven mindset is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, motivated, and organized
- A strong team player who is willing to learn and support colleagues
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in an inclusive space and with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Passionate about wellness and providing exceptional guest experiences
