As we continue to grow and provide quality professional transportation services, we are hiring a Truck and Trailer Journeyman and Apprentice Mechanics to join our Toronto team.
Hours of Work:
Day or Night Shifts 8-10 hrs
Job Description:
As a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty trucks to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting routine maintenance inspections on heavy-duty truck and trailers, including oil changes.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and performing necessary repairs.
- Troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other components.
- Conducting thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
- Utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose issues and make necessary repairs.
- Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory of parts.
- Collaborating with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Providing guidance and training to junior mechanics as needed.
- Conduct CVIP related repairs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Hold a valid 310T truck and coach mechanics license.
- 310 required truck mechanic required 5+Years Experience
- Apprentice truck Mechanics required 2+ years Experience
- Dependable, hardworking, punctual, reliable, team player with positive attitude.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Hands-on experience in shop processes.
- Understand the Ministry of Transportation rules
