Ritestart Limited is a COR Certified General Contractor in the ICI sector and we are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team as an Accounting Administrator.

The Accounting Administrator will report to the President. In this position, you will work closely with the Accounting Team, along with all Project Teams to ensure that corporate accounting requirements are met.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain all accounting systems in an orderly manner.
- Prepare and self-audit trail balances and financial reporting for banks, bonding facilities, CRA, Ministry of Finance and other agencies and authorities.
- Balance monthly accounts; report immediately any variances or discrepancies, along with correcting discrepancies as required/directed.
- Work with the project team to prepare quarterly financial reports.
- Work with the Management Team to complete deferred revenues and tax remittance calculations.
- Enter all Accounts Receivable; follow up with the Project Management Team.
- Enter all Accounts Payable; report over-invoicing and over-payments.
- Data entry of contracts, budgets, subcontractor purchase orders and changes.
- Weekly payroll entries and reconciliations.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Subcontractor and vendor payments.
- Preparation, filing and payments for EHT, WSIB, HST, income tax, etc.
- Employee health benefits administration.
- Various reporting (i.e. year end, quarterly, etc.).
- Other duties as required
Required Competencies and Attributes:
- A minimum of one (1) year experience as an Accounting Administrator (3 years of experience is preferred).
- Skilled with MS Office - Microsoft Excel proficiency must be at an intermediate level.
- Proficiency in using Accounting Software (Sage 100 Contractor is preferred).
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, along with organizational and administrative skills.
- Proven time management skills that demonstrate the ability to maintain balance among multiple priorities.
- Tremendous attention to detail.
- Able to work in a team or independently.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Construction accounting knowledge is a highly regarded asset.
- Collaborative spirit.
- Willing to work closely with diverse teams and adapt to various roles to build relationships with fellow Team members and business partners.
Work Location: This is an in-office position working from our Head Office located in Burlington, Ontario.
