MAREX Constructors Ltd. is an Abbotsford based civil construction firm that is looking to hire an Heavy Equipment Operator in the areas of mainline, roadworks, earthworks, and underground utilities.
Job Summary:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator you will be responsible for the safe operation of various pieces of equipment (excavator, backhoe, skid steer) used in a variety of settings. Typical job duties will involve pre-operation inspections, daily maintenance of equipment and safe operation around vehicular and pedestrian traffic in tight situations whilst remaining productive.
Job Requirements:
- Valid BC driver’s license required (not all sites are transit accessible)
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the civil construction sector (excavation, trenching, shoring)
- Must be safety orientated, self-motivated and work well with others
- Able to work under pressure and work long hours as required
- Must be reliable, dependable and punctual
Job Details:
- Expected to work 40-50 hours per week (hours are generally 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday)
- Work is generally limited to the Fraser Valley (Coquitlam to Chilliwack) area
- Pay to be based on commensuration, experience is an asset
