At Jacobs, we’re helping solve some of the world’s most complex environmental challenges—cleaning up communities, protecting natural resources, and supporting sustainable outcomes. Behind every successful field project is a reliable equipment program, and that’s where you come in.
As a Field Equipment Task Lead, you will play a key role in leading our Field Equipment Program. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the Field Equipment Program while also providing functional leadership across equipment service, maintenance, logistics, and inventory operations. Building on the foundational responsibilities of a Field Equipment Coordinator, this role carries program‑level accountability. The Task Lead ensures consistency, risk management, quality delivery, and continuous improvement across all Canadian CFEP activities, while supporting and guiding Equipment and Service Coordinators.
This role is primarily in-person and warehouse-based in Calgary. This is a hands-on role that’s ideal for someone who enjoys working with equipment, staying organized, and supporting teams in our warehouses and the field. You’ll also be tasked with working on site focusing on maintaining, shipping, and receiving equipment for Jacobs employees and subcontractors while being backed by a collaborative Project Services team located in other Jacobs offices and warehouses across Western Canada. Jacobs supports flexible and hybrid work where feasible while recognizing the in-person requirements essential to equipment operations.
This is a 6‑month contract position, with the potential for extension or transition to a full‑time role based on business needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide equipment usage and management leadership, guidance, and accountability to Equipment and Service Coordinators
- Lead CFEP meetings, planning calls, and coordination forums; communicate priorities, risks, and lessons learned
- Coordinate with the Project Services Technical Lead to ensure readiness and compliance of equipment and vehicle service, inspection, calibration, and maintenance programs
- Ensure maintenance records, calibrations, inspections, and BZO follow-ups are accurately tracked, completed, and documented
- Oversee issuing, tracking, shipping, receiving, and return of equipment across all Canadian warehouses and storage facilities
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of equipment, consumables, parts, and repair solutions nationwide
- Support complex and time‑sensitive equipment mobilizations and demobilizations
- Proactively identify equipment, service, logistics, and resourcing risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and customer service, including SDS, PPE, and workspace compliance at CFEP locations
This role is primarily in‑person and warehouse-based. You will work independently at times, with support from a distributed team. Jacobs supports flexible and hybrid work where feasible while recognizing the in-person requirements essential to equipment operations.
You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality customer service and managing requests by phone and email that often require quick turnaround times. Working closely with other members of the team, you will develop a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes across multiple delivery and courier businesses. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy solving logistical challenges, we’d love to hear from you. Join our team and help lay the foundation for human progress.
