Job description:
We are urgently hiring for a Journeyperson service plumber with an active Gas B ticket specialized in heating to add to our already well-established Service/Warranty team. Candidates have a minimum of 4 years experience in service with experience with assembling, install, and repair boiler, heaters, pumps, pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, combustible gas and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes with accuracy and timeliness.
Please note the wage stated is above the current Journeyperson rate for the most recent UA170 collective agreement. A higher wage may be offered dependent on the applicant’s experience/gas ticket.

Total compensation package worth $67/ h starting
Licensing:
· Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber
· A/B Gas Ticket is a requirement
· Back-flow/Cross Connection is a requirement
· Current valid driver's license with clean driving abstract
Minimum Qualifications:
· 4 years Journeyperson Heating/Plumbing experience within residential high rises in a service capacity
· Ability to provide exceptional customer service
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, manuals and maintenance instructions
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using mobile app
· Ability to effectively communicate and follow specific verbal and written instructions
· Ability to provide on-call emergency services, only required 1-week duration approximately every 3 months
The Work Schedule:
Our service technicians work a five-day schedule Monday to Friday, typical start time between 7-8 am and finish is between 3:30-4:30 pm with availability to pick up extra on call shifts or additional hours is available
Service Area:
The company operates only in the GVRD, spanning from West Vancouver to the Fraser Valley

A fully equipped, well stocked service van is supplied with all the necessary tools needed to perform your work. If specialized tools are required, they are readily available at our office service shop. This always includes all specialized safety equipment and PPE available for you.
What a typical day as a Service Technician at National looks like:
The technician’s day starts at the arrival of the first call of the day. This also applies if the day starts at our shop/office in Surrey. A typical service day/job for our technicians may be varied. High-rise building boiler work and service is an ongoing program with a multitude of direct heating manufacturer installs in the many buildings we service.
