Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety protocols, and various construction skills. Candidates should be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring the safety of all team members on-site.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine roofing specifications and materials needed.
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching, or replacing damaged areas before roofing installation.
- Apply roofing materials such as membranes, metal panels, or other specified materials with precision.
- Perform caulking and sealing to ensure waterproofing integrity of roofing systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or damages requiring repair or replacement.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals including carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers as needed for integrated building projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial roofing or related construction fields preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is highly advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to roofing tasks.
- Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, concrete finishing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, restoration, and cabinet installation is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, physical stamina for demanding work environments, and a commitment to safety standards throughout all project phases.
Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour
