Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company. Experience with hand tools, carpentry, and blueprint reading is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing and construction while contributing to high-quality building projects.
Duties
- Assist with installation and repair of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
- Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up safety equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate execution of work
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, sheathing, or other structural components
- Perform general labor duties including debris removal, site cleanup, and material transport
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or handyman work is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and carpentry techniques is advantageous
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus
- Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing and construction projects
- Prior experience with caulking or roofing materials is beneficial but not mandatory
