Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker Forklift / General Labour to join our warehouse team. This role involves efficiently selecting and preparing products for shipment, operating various types of warehouse equipment, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Responsibilities
- Safely operate order picker forklift to retrieve items from storage areas
- Accurately pick and prepare orders according to shipping specifications using warehouse management systems
- Perform heavy lifting of products and materials as required, ensuring proper handling techniques
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and organization of warehouse space
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment
- Support general labour tasks such as loading/unloading trucks, moving materials, and maintaining equipment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during heavy lifting or equipment operation
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related environment preferred
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating clamp trucks and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order accuracy
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order picking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Must be able to work flexible hours including potential shifts as required by the warehouse schedule
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
