The Haskayne School of Business is currently seeking a Full-time Limited Term Data Management and Technology Lead for approximately 12 months.
Based out of the Haskayne School of Business, the Creative Destruction Lab - Rockies (CDL-Rockies) is a not-for-profit organization that operates three mentorship-based programs, Nurture, CDL and Haskayne ScaleUp. These programs are designed to help deep-science and -technology ventures at different stages of growth, accelerate their speed of commercialization.
Housed within the Haskayne School of Business, CDL-Rockies attracts some of the world,s top innovators, investors, partners and business leaders through its programs.
CDL-Rockies is based on the original CDL model, which was developed at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto in Globally, the CDL network includes sites located in top business and management schools across the globe with five sites in Canada; three in the United States; six in Europe; and one in Australia.

The role provides hands-on ownership of data systems and digital tools that support impactful mentorship programs. This is a full-time Limited Term 1-year position with possibility of extension.
The position reports to the Director of Stakeholder Engagement and works closely with all teams.
This position normally works Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M, 7 hours per day (35 hours per week), although extended or alternative hours (evenings and weekends) and travel will be required based on the needs of CDL-Rockies. This position is required to maintain complete confidentiality regarding all business matters and to exercise a high degree of professionalism in the execution of their duties.
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
Data Management & Analysis
- Serve as the primary steward of CDL-Rockies data across all programs, ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity across systems

Own and maintain core data systems, including structure, workflows and documentation

Update and maintain data standards, definitions, and processes to ensure consistent data capture and reporting across teams.

Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies.

Design, build, and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for internal leadership, program teams, and external stakeholders.

Extract insights from CDL programs and stakeholder data to inform decision-making, planning, and program improvement.

Aid in the compiling of data for leadership to use in future strategic planning

Support analytic reporting on program and event performance, ensuring insights are captured and shared with leadership to inform continuous improvement.

Complete data reporting requirements to CDL-Rockies funders and CDL Global
-
Collaborate with CDL-Global to develop technology and data best practices.

Support ad hoc analysis requests, translating raw data into clear, actionable insights.
Program, Event and Technical Support
-
Be the go-to lead for technology adoption within the CDL-Rockies Team.

Provide onboarding, training, documentation, and one-on-one support to build data literacy and confidence across the organization.

Lead CRM management between AirTable and SalesForce.

In collaborate with teams, build, design and optimize technology workflows within the CDL tech stack to run efficiently between teams.

Ensure technology systems are seamlessly integrated into program delivery for external stakeholders and staff across CDL-Rockies programing (including but not limited to CDL sessions, Nurture events and ScaleUp intensives).

Provide program and event support through mail merge campaigns, light email coding (HTML) and RSVP/attendance updates in the CRM.

Provide technical support for session and event execution, troubleshooting as needed.

Provide some event setup and logistic support as needed.

Support analytic reporting on program and event performance, ensuring insights are captured and shared with leadership to inform continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Requirements:

Relevant post-secondary degree (Business, Computer Science, Communications, etc.).

Minimum five (5) year's experience in data management, data analysis, insight development and technology training.

High proficiency in the CDL Technology stack: AirTable, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft 365 required.

Experience in effective change management leading new technology adoption.

Experience in developing presenting data insights and recommendations effectively for various stakeholders.

Ability to work well with diverse individuals and teams.

Excellent analytical and communications skills required.

Must be comfortable in academic and business settings.

Proven ability to work independently and meet timelines.

Highly effective time management and project management.

Demonstration of technology proficiency will be required if chosen for an interview.
