About Us
Nanfara & Ng Surveyors Inc., a well-established Ontario Land Surveying firm providing legal, construction, engineering, and development surveying services across the province. We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Operator to join our growing team. This position offers flexibility as either a full-time or part-time role for the right candidate.
Position Summary
The Senior CAD Operator will be responsible for preparing and reviewing survey drawings, plans, and related documentation using industry-standard CAD software. The successful candidate will work closely with Ontario Land Surveyors, project managers, and field crews to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare survey plans and drawings including:
- Topographic Surveys
- Reference Plans (R-Plans)
- Draft Plans of Subdivision
- Condominium Plans
- Engineering Base Plans
- Construction Layout Drawings
- As-Built Surveys
- Process field survey data from total stations, and GPS systems.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Ontario surveying standards.
- Coordinate with survey crews, project managers, and clients as required.
- Assist with project scheduling and workflow management.
- Maintain CAD standards and drafting procedures.
- Mentor junior CAD staff when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of CAD drafting experience in the land surveying industry.
- Strong proficiency with:
- MicroSurvey
- AutoCAD
- Microstation
- Survey drafting software and data processing tools
- Thorough understanding of Ontario land surveying practices and standards.
- Experience preparing legal survey plans and engineering-related survey drawings.
- Ability to interpret survey field notes, deeds, plans, and legal descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Ontario Land Surveyors (OLS).
- Familiarity with coordinate systems, geodetic control, and GIS data.
- Experience with laser scanning and point cloud processing.
- Knowledge of subdivision and condominium plan preparation.

Compensation
$60,000 – $90,000+ per year (or hourly equivalent), based on experience and qualifications.
