Affinity Architecture is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to work closely with the Lead Architect and a technical team, throughout the project lifecycle, to create complete and coordinated construction documents for buildings of varying size and complexity. This is an in-office position. Affinity Architecture has a benefit package that includes health and dental and insurances and RRSP match. Responsibilities:
- Assist with site visits and review of existing conditions. Participate in pre-design activities to verify suitability of project sites for their intended use.
- Understand and apply Affinity’s graphic and filing standards for all assigned tasks.
- Interpret sketches and instructions from the Lead Architect and Senior Technologist in the preparation of schematic design documents.
- Interpret sketches and instructions from the Lead Architect and Senior Technologist in the preparation of 3-dimensional building models suitable to describe project design.
- Assist with Revit model set up and production to detail and develop products.
- Assist with the evaluation of building materials, components and assemblies.
- Ensure application of building code review in the preparation of the construction documents.
- Assist with the production of detailed construction documents.
- Assist with managing an interdisciplinary sub-consulting team in the preparation of a comprehensive construction document package. Review and coordinate the drawings of various sub-consulting disciplines.
- Assist with permit application, including responding to AHJ queries and providing supplementary details as required.
- Participate in construction phase services, including field-observation and reporting, change documentation, supplemental instructions, contract document interpretation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
