We are seeking an experienced and dependable professional to join our leadership team as a second-in-command, supporting the day-to-day operations of the home.
Position Overview
The Assistant Director serves as the primary support to the General Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the residence. This position requires a hands-on leader who is highly organized, proactive, and capable of stepping in to oversee operations in the absence of the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care to residents and update care needs where required
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the retirement home
- Act as the second-in-command and assume leadership responsibilities as required
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., RHRA, Public Health)
- Assist with resident relations, including addressing concerns and maintaining high satisfaction
- Support administrative functions when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in retirement home, long-term care, or healthcare operations
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be able to reliably commute to the residence location
- Must be willing and able to complete all required training and onboarding, both initially and on an ongoing basis, as required
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
