Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role involves assisting with various landscaping and horticultural tasks to ensure the aesthetic appeal and health of our clients' outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working outdoors, possess basic knowledge of gardening practices, and be eager to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes to perform gardening activities
- Use power tools like hedge trimmers, blowers, and small excavators for various landscaping projects
- Maintain irrigation systems by installing, repairing, or adjusting sprinklers and hoses
- Support the installation of new landscapes, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Ensure work areas are clean and safe by removing debris and properly storing tools
- Follow safety protocols and best practices during all landscaping activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping is advantageous
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred
