About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hauling materials, floating equipment, and ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely. We are looking for a team player who communicates well, takes pride in maintaining their equipment, and is willing to jump in and help on-site when the trucks aren't rolling.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Material Transport: Safely haul soils, aggregates, and other materials to and from quarries and job sites.
- Equipment Floating: Safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment between sites.
- Inspections: Perform comprehensive daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections using Motive software.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct minor equipment maintenance, including oil top-ups and equipment greasing.
- Record Keeping: Thoroughly document all daily activities, loads, and routes.
- Communication: Coordinate directly with the site foreman and fleet manager to ensure all deliveries and maintenance needs are completed efficiently and on time.
- Site Support: Provide hands-on help and general labor on location when driving duties are not required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required License: Valid Class 3 Driver's License.
- Preferred License: Valid Class 1 Driver's License.
- Experience: Previous experience hauling aggregates and floating equipment is a strong asset.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital applications (like Motive) for logging inspections and activities.
- Team Player: Willingness to step out of the cab and assist the crew on the ground when needed.
