General Description:

Provide maintenance support for overall facility operation, including all manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide routine Preventative Maintenance on all facility and manufacturing equipment.

Perform equipment diagnostic evaluation and repairs as needed.
-
Monitor plant equipment and infrastructure for safety compliance, and implement corrective action as required.

Establish and maintain equipment spare parts and maintenance supply inventories.
-
Train and certify new forklift operators, and monitor compliance to safe operating practices.
- Perform necessary preparations for regulatory water sampling.
-
Facilitate new equipment selection, installation, relocation, start up and operator training.
-
Facilitate operator training and support on all existing equipment.
-
Work with outside contractors or service providers as needed to support facility operations.

Maintain an orderly clean work area.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Must complete OSHA Certified Forklift Trainer course.
-
Must have an understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems and principals of operation.

Capable of performing diagnostic evaluation and repairs on all facility and manufacturing equipment, including plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs.

Experience with gas and electric welding.

Experience in using facility support equipment, including air compressors, tools, saws, drill presses, electric lifts, etc.

Good work ethic, self-motivated, good attendance.

Basic computer skills.

Capable of using a calculator, electronic scales, programmable water meters, and other electrical processing equipment.

Capable of understanding and following all manufacturing processing instructions and operations.

Able to handle lifting requirements of the position.

Must follow all company, safety and hazardous material handling rules and procedures.
- Ability to communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.

Demonstrate a commitment to safety, productivity and helping to control costs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-
High school degree
-
Minimum 5 years manufacturing and facility maintenance experience.
-
Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and plumbing experience required.
-
Forklift Trainer Certification
-
HazMat certified training required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Good communications skills required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to read schematics, blue prints, operation and service manuals to trouble shoot and solve problems.
