Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:
This microcredential provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to integrate academic coursework with experiential learning focused on advancing health equity through physical activity, mobility, and community engagement. Students will develop a strong foundation in inclusive health promotion, build professional competencies alongside exercise and health professionals, and engage directly with community members through applied practice and volunteer experiences at PACE. The instructor will be responsible for overseeing the academic components of the course, including student communication, coordination with PACE supervisors, and delivery of the established course structure. The instructor will be expected to use the current assessment framework, including existing online lectures, assignments, rubrics, and related course materials provided by the PACE Director.
Required Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include a PhD in Kinesiology, or a PhD, MSc, or a clinical degree in a related discipline. Candidates should have experience with experiential education, community-engaged learning, or applied health promotion. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with clinical populations in community-based programs (example PACE).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience teaching similar course material, particularly in Kinesiology, health promotion, physical activity, mobility, community engagement, or health equity.

- Supplemented Fees- 15.02 In addition to the wages as set out in Article 15.01 and Schedule A of the Collective Agreement, the employee shall be eligible to receive supplemented fees as set out in this Article and Schedule B. The actual rate of pay, when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing then the employee shall receive the difference.
