Senior PLC and Robotic Programmer

As a Senior PLC and Robotic Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in our automation team. You will be responsible for bringing custom automation to life by developing, implementing and troubleshooting PLC and Robotic controlled automation systems designed for various industry sectors.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: based on experience

Primary Responsibilities:

Development of PLC, Robot and HMI Programs offline using custom electrical design and mechanical drawings for reference.
Setup and Configuration of network architecture between devices and supporting equipment.
Work in collaboration with project managers, project leads, build leads, mechanical designers, machine tool builders, and electricians to successfully complete projects on time and on budget.
Mentor and train entry-level employees in their role and assist with the continual development of controls architecture standards and best practices.
Support factory acceptance testing of equipment and Customer site acceptance testing and operator and maintenance training programs.

Software and Hardware Expertise In:

Beckhoff / Allen Bradley / Omron / Siemens
Kawasaki / Kuka / Fanuc / ABB / Yaskawa/Motoman
Toshiba Machine – SCARA Robotics
Vision Guided Robotics – Custom & Standard Platforms
Data Management – Database Integration with PLC

Qualifications:

A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or licensed Trade equivalent
5+ years of experience in the custom automation
Understand the custom machine building processes including vision, laser, assembly, etc.
Understanding of Ontario Electrical Code and electrical circuits
