Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable red seal hd Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in equipment/ hd truck repair, industrial equipment maintenance, and heavy machinery servicing. This role will involve maintenance and repairs of hd trucks, support of a forestry road company, The Mechanic will ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our operations across multiple sectors. Candidates with strong mechanical knowledge will be highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of tools and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical issues on automotive, industrial, and heavy equipment such as excavators, drills, rock trucks, hd trucks
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and welding equipment to execute repairs accurately
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on complex systems
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance records to identify issues
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance or repair procedures
- Assist with assembly or installation of new machinery or components
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair needs and status
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in industrial equipment maintenance
- Hands-on experience working with excavators, drills, hd trucks, forestry equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and reading schematics
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, electrical systems, heavy lifting techniques, and general maintenance procedures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or inspections
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients or team members effectively
