Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and familiarity with merchandising and cash handling. Multilingual abilities and knowledge of landscaping or horticulture are a plus, especially for stores specializing in gardening or outdoor products. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain merchandise displays, ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Support e-commerce initiatives by assisting customers with online orders or inquiries
- Engage in landscape maintenance or gardening tasks if applicable to store offerings
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards within the store environment
- Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising updates
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising techniques
- Familiarity with landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or outdoor products is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when needed
- Demonstrated sales skills and a proactive approach to customer engagement
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as e-commerce platforms
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
