Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic, new Italian restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently, while also hosting and bussing. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions accurately, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Manage multiple tables efficiently with strong time management skills
- Handle cash and process payments accurately through cashiering systems
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed in food handling and serving
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of dining areas, including table setup and sanitation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; hospitality background is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic food handling and preparation knowledge is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and courtesy
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
