Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of freight handling, vehicle operation, and safety protocols, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety compliance.
Duties
- Safely operate AZ licensed commercial trucks for local or long-distance freight deliver
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures during transportation
- Assist with warehouse duties including freight handling and inventory management when required
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
Skills
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and safety standards
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and vehicle maintenance tasks
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is a plus
