Reporting directly to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Driver Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and acquiring top talent and providing an exceptional onboarding experience for new staff. The Driver Recruiter thrives on connecting with people, understanding their unique strengths, and matching them with opportunities to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the full cycle recruiting process for Class 1 Drivers
- Work with the Manager, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to refine role descriptions and craft job postings
- Creatively and tenaciously source candidates using social media, direct sourcing, job portals, job fairs, and trade shows.
- Leverage the Mentorship Program for new drivers, developing and maintaining a candidate pipeline for future hires.
- Ensure that role specific qualifications, testing, and criteria are gathered, reviewed, and acceptable.
- Facilitate the new hire onboarding process, ensuring that participants have a meaningful and engaging first experience.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge & experience with MS Office Suite and Teams. Experience with TMW software is considered an asset.
- Exceptional organizational & problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly adapt and approach complex or sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work efficiently within a group setting.
