Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic TEMP HYGIENIST to join our dynamic dental team! Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations by taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and recording medical histories accurately
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized hygiene area following all infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment plans for patients
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently to maximize clinic productivity
- Support the dental assisting team as needed during procedures or administrative tasks
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and record keeping
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and terminology is a plus
- Bilingual abilities to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations are highly desirable
- Previous experience in dental assisting or hygiene roles within a busy dental office setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and valued
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to assist with young patients’ needs
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental health and treatment planning
